INTRODUCTION
Main purpose of M.Phil Program 2 years in Urdu is to prepare graduates having a deep knowledge of the subject as well as ability to analyze any given situation and draw out conclusions. The M.Phil Urdu program is dedicated to the advanced study and research of Urdu language and literature. Our mission is to cultivate scholarly excellence, foster critical and analytical thinking, and promote the rich cultural and literary traditions of Urdu. The syllabus of the subject is designed by keeping in the view that following objectives.
To educate the students who could analyze traditional and modern school of theories on the basis of research.
- To create a sense of measurement of Urdu poetry and prose. Moreover, research and criticism are also major objectives of Urdu subject.
- To present the research outcomes and recommendations for new researchers.
- To produce the scholars who are experts of language and literature who could be example for others.
To promote the learning of Urdu and scientific study of Urdu Literature.
Program Duration: 2 Year
Timing: Morning (Monday-Friday)
Location: 6.7 Km Japan Road, Sihala, Islamabad.
Recognized By: Higher Education Commission
Entry Requirement:
- The candidate has passed the Intermediate or equivalent examination from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan / Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Pakistan.
- Entry Test: Ibadat International University Entry test / NTS

The mission of the Department of URDU is to provide an innovative educational environment that is challenging as well as flexible and supportive for the young research scholars. The programs offered at the Ibadat International University are designed to provide quality teaching and meet the challenges that our graduates are likely to face throughout their professional careers, and enhance fundamental and applied research. The Department aims to enhance the research skills of the students to develop critical thinking by making them exceptional researchers in the field of Literature and Linguistics.
The Institute will produce highly qualified committed individuals who will play a leading role in the sustainable development of the region and the country. The human resource, thus produced will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skill to act as solution provider for many issues of the region and the country while respecting the ethical values.
